Wrangler Duratracs beat the living piss out of BFG A/T. Wrangler Authority is a step up from the Duratrac though.

69k miles..... Seems like they did pretty good for ya.
I had them in my old taco and on my full size '03 sierra and they were great in all conditions. I will be putting them on my '14 sierra very soon as well.

I read too many mixed reviews on duratracs so I'm set on the KM2s they cost the same and seem to be the better choice/quality.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I don't have them on my Tacoma, but they are on my 7.3 Powerstroke and have held up nice under the weight and abuse that truck puts em through. They are 35's and from what I can tell stay balanced just fine and work on the highway for me all the same.

I have, however had a tough time keeping the BFG AT KO's balanced on my Tacoma for some reason. Truck shakes a lot at certain speeds but smooths out at others. I like the BFG AT tires though, they look nice and work well in all forms of weather around here. They are getting replaced before next winter though for sure, getting too bald for my taste.

Sand is the one place where KOs actually do well. Also KOs are much quieter than Duratracs. Duratracs are still probably a better overall tire, but they definitely arent quiet.

I wouldn't be at all surprised that they are discontinued. I've been running them for a little while now and other than some serious balancing issues (2 complete sets swapped and 5 visits for balancing) they are great tires.

If you are having traction issues then you're most likely over inflated. It took me a fairly long time to find the right pressures but traction now is great. We had a really crappy winter here in Chicago with tons of snow and freezing ice. I went out to play in the snow every chance I could find and never had an issue. Traction in Snow is unbelievable. Better than anything I've ever had on the truck including dedicated snow tires. Ice traction is so so but that's no surprise. Rain general wet weather have been great.

I can't comment too much on the noise as I've not had a chance to put more than about 8K on a set before the were exchanged chasing he balancing issue. I can say that they are really quite for being as aggressive as they are. I really expected more noise but I just get a nice hum at 70 mph. I can easily talk over the sound.

If I had to complain about them I'd say the balancing issue and their weight. I personally wish they made a "P" version for my daily driving.

Oh... One last thing. I've put about 1000 miles on mine in the woods up in WI and we drove out and did White Rim in UT and I've had no issues with sidewalls.

I just put some on my Tacoma and I couldn't be happier with them. I don't think they're loud at all. Maybe I don't know what loud tires sound like.

All you girls crying about A/T tires being loud cracked me up. Its a truck. I have had DuraTracs they were good. Much better than the BFG A/T. Running the Goodyear MTR's now. Best tire I have run off road. Tires that work good off road make noise. Quiet tires suck off road. If you want quite tires buy a Camary.
