Last riding season i started doing track days. Most fun ive ever had. Its more fun with a friend so a buddy also got into it.

The track is like 2 hours from my house. So riding there and riding 6-8 hours and then 2 hours home isnt something i want to do.

So we truck them down. People ask if you can fit two motorcycles in a 07 long bed.... You can. I put a 2007 gsxr 600 and a 2005 gsxr 750 in. Tight squeeze but you can do it. I also put a 07 gsxr 600 and a 2005 zx6.

It may take 10 mins to figure out the straps but u can get 4 on each bike if u add d rings to the front of the bed. I always use 4 straps on anything i transport. Better have 1-2 extra vs have one snap and only have 1 holding the cargo.

Anyway, my question is weight in the bed. I think the bikes wet weigh around 500lbs each. Plus gear and two people another 500.

I have OME 886 coils and 5100s set at zero up front.
I put a Wheelers AAL in the back.
    Duratrac 285/75/17 tires.

I noticed a bit of suspension rattle in the rear passenger side so i got under and see a chuck of leaf spring missing. No idea if it happened last week or ladt year and the piece just fell out now.

Not sure if i can get TSB leaf springs or if that even the best route.

I am thinking of what is my best option for maximum payload.

Air bags? 4 pack leaf? After market leaf springs?

    Opinions?

Dakars or airbags would be your best bet. I would swap the pack out though since you have a broken leaf. The TSB leafs are a band aid that will eventually fail unfortunately.

Would oem leaf be just like getting a tsb done but on dealers dime?

So going aftermarket leaf is better (more long term life, less sag) option?

Air bags + after market leafs the best result?

I know throwing money at parts is t always the best option so i dont want to just drop 2x 3x the $$ for same results.

If you get the dealer to do the TSB (won't likely be free since you are out of warranty) it will still eventually sag. I say go with dakars
