2008 clearcoat failing

The clearcoat on my 2008 Tacoma is bubbling in spots and peeling in others on the drivers side rear quarter panel. Can clearcoat be repaired?

 

What areas? Any pics? My 08 is kept outside 90% of the year and no issues

 

I'll post some pics ASAP. It's occuring right around that thin black trim that runs horizontally along the bed.

 

Is it a repaint? Are you the original owner?

 

As far as I know it's all original. I believe I am the second owner.

 

Yeah that's the hard part Carfax is not the most accurate for this kind of stuff.

 

Without pics it's impossible to say for sure but bubbling and peeling as you describe will typically require a respray.

 

What color is your truck?

I'm guessing Indigo Ink. Hopefully not Desert Sand.

 

From what I understand though, once the clear coat bubbles like that, the whole panel needs to be repainted or have the affected area repainted blended to the surrounding paint.
