Been trying to persuade my Dad to let me sell the .22 because it never gets used anymore.
I'm not sure what any of this is worth, the gun is around 5-7 years old.

Was bought for me when I was younger, only shot when I went to his house and now it's in my closet and I never shoot it.

    About the gun:

Ruger 10/22, no rust, never been dropped or anything.
Scope is dual illuminated red/green sights. Also from Walmart I believe.
Camo sling, from Walmart I believe.

    Ammo:

    Winchester - 555 Rounds - 3/4 of box left.
22 Remington Thunderbolt - 350 rounds - Brand new, full box.
Remington .22 Subsonic - Almost full box.
Other .22 bullets, not sure of brand. Missing 11 out of 100.

How much is all of this worth together?
Someone who knows quite a bit about this please chime in or PM me!

    Thanks! :D

Your better off keeping it though. A .22 rifle is fun for everyone to shoot and you may need it or want to use it some day.

Also go check at Walmart or whatever big box stores and see if they still sell the same model with hardwood stock like that. I'm guessing they still do so then try to compare if the current looks are still comparable to yours (same, better or worse). The walmart price for an equivalent new will give you an idea for a used price.

But me personally I would hang on to that just like it is. Like money in the bank it ain't going down in value over the long haul. Unless you start putting aftermarket junk "upgrades" all over it.

And the older guns with nice wood are almost always the most sought after by collectors.

Well the gun is over 5 years old, I'm pretty sure walmart wouldn't still
Be carrying it but I'll surely check.
Really wanting to sell it to get a 12 gauge.

You can buy em brand new for $200.
So maybe $220 for everything considering its 5 yrs old and the scope is nothing hi end.
    misc ammo.

The 10/22 has been and still is sold for I don't know how many years. There are gazillions of them out there.

What I mean is IF you know for certain you will never have any interest in owning guns or hunting, then sell it. But if you know you probably plan to own guns in the future, I almost guarantee one day in the forseeable future you will wish you had that back, being owned by Dad especially. And being pretty common, maybe you can go buy one just like it at that time. But also you are risking, say 15 years from now, "I really want to replace it but I can't find one that looks as nice as my Dad's did."

I would think all of that ammo would be worth more than $20. But I appreciate the reply!

That gun brand new minus the cheap scope is $280 for me here locally (normal price). Still used even in good shape, so maybe 70% of new value? That's $196 for the rifle. I think you'd maybe get a little more for it, but I'd be surprised if you got more than $250 for the package. Hold onto it until Christmas time and it might sell quick.

The ammo isn't worth much more than $50, now that it's not quite as hard to find .22 LR. The cheap used scope isn't worth much. I'd give you $200 for the whole used package with ammo. If you had the Ruger BX-25 mags, they would add some value, but looks like you have the non Ruger mags which are a lot cheaper. Might as well just keep it; Everyone should own a .22 and the Ruger 10/22 is still the best and most reliable semi-auto .22 on the market.

Ruger has been making this same exact model with the hardwood stock since the 1960s or 70s! Walmart still sells them for just over $200 new, along with almost every sporting goods store.

    I bounce it offa stuff.
Hang on to it and give it to your kids, when you have em, for their first gun. Everybody needs a good .22. I got a 10/22 myself and its a great little plinker and small game gun. That is, unless you need the money now.

I wouldn't sell it. For what you will get for it, you would be better suited to keep it. You never know if you will need it someday. Shit you could give it to you kid one day. Nothing like giving your kid his first gun that was your first gun. Pass that thing down.
