I've read plenty of threads about how awesome the URD Supercharger is on a 2.7 Tacoma but I haven't seen anything on how it would perform on the auto. I guess you couldnt really maximize the ability of it huh?

I'm pretty sure it'll perform awesomely! I know in the s/c thread.. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/un...ment/89849-urd-supercharger-05-4-bangers.html .. someone asked about auto's and was told that you'd have no reason to complain. There's videos of V6 s/c'd auto's on youtube that perform really great... I think you haven't heard of too many 4banger auto's because they're still relatively rare.

Now.. we all have to stop talking about superchargers.. because I want one bad.. I've been thinking about it for months now! It's hard to spent that kinda coin though.

I might put one in in 4 years when my truck is paid for. My concern is that I know nothing about working on engines and I hear that the superchargers add another level of maintenance and engine knowledge. Also, I hear you have upgrade other parts of your system.

The s/c from URD comes with everything from what I've read (not that i've been obsessing about it). And it really doesn't look too hard.. you use the stock exhaust and intake.. it all comes pre-wired with a piggy-back ecu.. I think the hardest part is dropping the tank to put in the bigger fuel pump.

Ok.. seriously... no more talking about it.. really cant afford it ...

I have the 4 cyl auto. I contacted URD directly, and they said it works better on the auto. Always stays on "boost" while accelerating. With a standard you loose the boost on every shift. And sounds like the autos are holding up to the power. I might buy one and let ya know!

I paid $3600 for my truck  For me, reinvesting in a v6 would be a better use of that money.
