So a week ago I got my frame replacement done on my 2005 Tacoma, I had them install 5100 Bilsteins set at 1.75" in the front while doing the replacement.

For whatever reason, the tire is now rubbing on the passenger's side when the steering wheel is turned all the way to the right. I can't for the life of me find where it is rubbing either... there's no evidence of it, but its an obvious sound.

After calling the dealership, just like I assumed they would they blamed it on the shocks. I'm not sure if they messed up on the alignment or put something on wrong, but I don't see how it's the shocks' fault.

So my question to you guys is, is it possible that lifting the front end caused ONLY my right side tire to rub? If it was the shocks, you would think both sides would rub and that still wouldn't make sense because lifting means more clearance for tires!

    Thank you!!!

edit: also, the tires are the stock tire size, they're still P265/65R17

anybody? I'm bringing the truck into the dealer in about 10 hours and I need to be able to explain this to them, otherwise they're gonna blame the shocks and I'm gonna have to pay :/

did they do a proper alignment?

Passenger side probably has a little more lift due to taco lean which would mean a different lower control arm placement which would explain possible rubbing.

Have someone slowly inch forward while it rubs and you safely look.

Yeah they definitely aligned it, they replaced the entire frame, a-arms, etc, so it had to be aligned. Maybe they messed up while aligning it? Drives straight and everything, so not sure :/

also, taco lean? why would our trucks lean to the passenger's side o_O

Check the back side of your lower control arm. That's where mine rubs with the 285's. Your's is probably an alignment issue.
