I have been considering getting Maxtrax for the longest time. They seem to be great products but never seem to go on sale.

TRED Recovery Ramps seem to be of similar quality but not rated as well. I found someone mentioning on Expedition Portal that TRED is on sale on Summit Racing's website and Thought I would pass it on.

It was a bit of a piss off that they would not price match the $29.99 that other websites are selling the bag for because of the difference in shipping cost but oh well.

It seems as though they only have Green, Yellow, and Blue available. I asked about other color availability and they said that they are discontinuing selling this brand.

Great find! I paid way more than that for my black ones about a year ago.

Have you used them? How have they held up?

I have heard good reviews but no one has as good of reviews as Maxtrax.

Happy to report that since I got them I haven't needed to use them.

Carry a lot of stuff like that when headed off road. Worst example is the second spare tire. Never had a flat again!

I got 4 ramps for $100 less than 2 Maxtrax! I did much reading and it seems 50/50 on Treds. Many like them and many say they have cracked them. It seemed like most of the reviews came from Australian users and I'd be willing to bet that most of the guys that broke the Treds had heavier vehicles than our Tacomas, like land cruisers or range rovers.

Summit shipped mine out next day from order and I received them the day after that. They feel super sturdy to me. They are pretty thick and have a good structurally rigid shape. I set one up to span a roughly 30" gap and stood on it and it felt very solid. I may never need em but I'm glad to have em.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
FYI, my wheeling buddy here did some research on the TREDs and told me the following:

The ones on sale on the Summit website are the old plastic composition. They changed the plastic to resist cracking in cold temps and Summit picked up all the old stock. Supposedly the new ones are less prone to cracking and you'll get the new ones if you have to warranty the ones you buy from Summit.

I'm going to spend the money on Maxtrax in the GB this month because I'm pretty sure the old composition wont last long in our winters here and mailing things around for warranty is a pain. He's going to get the TREDs and try 'em out.
