    Greetings Taco Owners.

I was asked to jump another person's vehicle today. I know it is not good to put all the clamps on the dead/good batteries. There is usually a post or contact point for the positive and/or negative clamps away from the battery. My Manual does not tell me nor the order of the clamps to put on and pull off.

Is/Are there any clamp point(s) on the engine mount and/or body of the 2014 Tacoma, besides hookin the clamps directly to the battery? BTW...It is a 4 Cylinder.

Thanks in response for your answers.

Connect the positive cable from the charged battery's positive post/terminal to the charged battery's positive post/terminal. Then connect the charged battery's negative post/terminal to any clean metal portion of the engine or frame away from the battery. Reverse the order to disconnect. I usually connect the negative lead to a metal post with a sensor mounted on it between the oil filler cap and the serpentine belt on the four cylinder engine.

Thank for the information. I found it a little strange that there is very little in the truck manual about it, and that the designers of the engine and mounts did not design any posts or contact point in/on the engine. Thanks again for the information.
