Looking to get a good floor jack for my Tacoma and wife's escape.

What is a good brand? What size should I look for too? Also don't want to break the bank.

Is harbor freight any good for jacks?

I got a harbor freight 3ton steel jack best 80 bucks I spent. Better then the 3 ton craftsman I had bought that only worked once.

Get the 3 ton aluminum jack with the 25% off coupon. I use mine on the Tacoma and Tundra all the time. Just bought the aluminum jack stands last week. Your back will thank you later.

Pick up jack stands while you're at it if you don't already have them. A set of 4 makes working on any car/truck handy.

Pittsburgh 3 ton aluminum racing (blue & silver). Have not had any problems with mine. Have used it to lift my Tundra, Tacoma, and g/f's Jeep.

If the cashier is cool, he will ring up your jack and jack stands (2 set of 2) separately and use the 25% coupon for all three. My Tacoma has been sitting on jack stands for a week now in carport (aka Bay #1). Lol.

My Harbor Freight jack has never let me down, I've had it for 1.5 years now. I have the low profile (works great to get under cars) 2.5 ton. Got that thing for practically nothing when they had a sale and was still able to use a coupon. I think I paid like $45 for it. Got the stands too so I could replace some old rusty ones I had, not bad either.

I place the jack along the frame behind the weld and the jack stand next to the jack, under the weld. Never had any problems. Just raise/lower slowly when jacking side to side. Truck tends to shift a little.
