Hello, I'm Jason, or Jay... whatever. I live in bridgeport, work in Fairfield, had a 96 xtra and just got back into a 11 dbl turd or. My jeep is my wheeler, but can't stop the mod bug and have been lurking quite a few threads, just wanted to introduce myself.

Hey guys. Any good shops in CT that can tint my tail lights? The wind blew over a trash can and cracked my driver side tail light last night, and consensus here seems to be that they're OEM with a tint (I bought it CPO). I don't want after market lights and I don't want to use something like VHT. Thanks for any input.

Im also in Newington, wow I must be oblivious but never seen your truck around:confused:

On another note I need to monitor this thread more I usually wheel with a group called "ExploringNewHampshire" various types of vehicles and they do 99% NH trails but it is well organized with trail ratings and required equipment, inspections, prerun scouting, etc. I have recently leaned towards overland style trips because its less "destroying" on truck plus I enjoy the camping aspect. I drive my truck daily and need it to stay reliable. I don't really see too many lifted, etc Tacos in the area

Hey guys! New to the taco scene just picked up a Barcelona red 11 4 cyl standard and so far I'm loving it. Just out of curiousity leafs in the rear are looking kinda flat. I have plans on lifting it but not going extremely huge possibly 2-3 with 33 at most so what would be my best plan of attack as far as getting a lift and fixing the rear leaf problem? Thanks!

    Also out of Torrington

Hey Plumber, best suggestion I think is hunting through the threads on lifts, and then thinking about your uses, or desire for the look. Lots of great info to be had, lots of opinions too. Ask many questions, but do a little searching first, and welcome.

Try these links. They should help narrow your search. Do some digging and find out the direction you want to go, then go from there, as mentioned above. Welcome, good luck, and questions are of course welcome!

Thank you, Do you mind if I get some specifics about your truck? Like The pro comp lift you used did you have to change your Upper control arms too? How long did it take to install it? Would you have done anything different as far as lift goes if you were to do it again? Are you running 17 inch rims now? How wide of a rim?

I ended up having 4x4 Performance in Manchester do the work on the lift - I know my limitations! The rims are 16 inch Pro Comp 7032s with 285-75-16 Duratracs. I like the lift, wouldn't do anything differently as far as choices, it's a little stiffer of a ride but I prefer it, it drives like a truck.
