It's pure idiocy, my tacoma handles like a BMW compared to the Chevy silverado I came from.

The reasons we love the Tacoma are the same reasons that your average soccer dad would hate the Tacoma.

    Howdy,
I read all the complaining about the Taco and take it with a smile. I have had mine for a year now and have no complaints at all. I hear complaints about the power of the engine. The 57 Chevy power pack engine was rated at 230 h.p. It seems that the 4.0 is rated at 236 h.p. That is 6 more that one of the best performing Chevys ever. Have a goodun !!!!

If the Taco is rated that bad, then why is there so many of them (2nd gen) on the road ?

After reading all of the above. i have this to say!! the Tacoma is the Shiznit! Handles great runs and runs like a raped ape!! I think we can all agree that the "author" of the that article is CLUELESS! As for the Colorado, how long did it take for Chevy to get on board and "attempt" to make a mid size truck. Personally, in my opinion, all Chevy did was attempt to make a scaled down version of the silverado. No class and no character!!

3 inch lift with Toytec Boss and All Pro UCA's up front. AP expedition leafs with Bilstien 5100 shocks in the back. 255/85/16 Cooper S/T Max tires. All Pro skids, rear bumper and sliders, Hidden winch mount with XRC 8000 winch. Dual Optima batteries with IBS combiner/isolator and solar. CMC. Auto sliding rear window mod, hidden CB, CVJ axles and plenty of other little mods.
Ten "Cars"..... What a dipsh&%t article.

"With a punchy powertrain, the Toyota Tacoma excels for hauling, towing, and off-road use.

That's why I bought mine. Its a truck! It does truck stuff great!

"But for everyday driving or commuting, the Tacoma feels dated and is uncomfortable. Clumsy handling makes it a chore to drive, and the rough ride is fatiguing, with constant jiggling and a rubbery feel over even small imperfections."

People who buy trucks because they think the are cool, comfy, BMW-like everyday drivers deserve what they get.
