    Hello,

I bought a used Tacoma a few months back, the previous owner put a 3" lift on the front with new coilovers. I am unsure if anything has been done to the rear besides the bilsteins (tsb, aal?) I tried looking at stock photos and other various leaf pack pictures but it was hard to tell. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it, the truck is a 2011 TRD sport.

    Looks pretty stock to me.

Looks like Bilstein 5100's with an AAL or some sort of additional overload or helper leaf going on there.

Two different answers! Glad I'm not the only one. Anyone else? I can take additional photos if it's necessary.

    The truck sits level.

Those are Bilstein 5100 shocks, but I'm not exactly sure what's up with your leaf pack. I don't know why your overload is longer than your 3rd leaf...so that's weird.

I've got a new Tacoma leaf pack sitting at home, I'll look at it later tonight when I get back and see if it's the same

The third leave down doesn't look right to me, too short and too much curve...

The truck only has 30k miles! I appreciate your response. What would you recommend for an upgrade to keep the same height of the truck? A whole new leaf pack?

Could leaf packs be that worn out in 30 thousand miles? I don't think it was driven hard before I had it, it seemed pretty clean.

I am not personally a fan of the prepackaged add-a-leaf kits. All you have to do is get to a spring shop and let them do it right. Or, simply measure and order the extra leaves you want and let them MAKE IT TO ORDER, then install.

Rear leaf springs is NOT a black art. However, repairing truck suspension, can be a terrible job, things are heavy and don't want to move.

I'm not looking to upgrade anytime soon, the vehicle drives great and I have notice no issues with the leaf springs. I've hauled stuff in the bed as well and had no problems. Maybe in the future though I would like to replace the bilsteins with fox's and upgrade the leaf packs.

I'm just trying to identify with what's been done so far.

What kind of coilovers do you have up front? Maby that will help determine what kind of aal you have.

If the owner hauled a lot of weight, he/she could have worn down the leaf pack, and added an AAL as a temp fix ///or he/she wanted a little bit of lift.
