So...on December 17th of last year I ordered a powder coated front skid for my 2013. The stated lead time on the website for the skid was 7-14 days. Now, from reading this forum I knew it would take a little longer maybe a month and a half.

I just received it on Tuesday March 31st, three and a half months later. I emailed Eric about once a month to see how things were going. On January 11th he told me the skid was at powder coat and was waiting on them. Called them around the end of February and he said it would ship at the end of the week. A couple of weeks go by and I email asking whats up and was told it's still at power coat and they are particularly busy. I wait a week and receive nothing so I email him to cancel by order. I get an email from him the next day stating my order has shipped.

I understand that small businesses can be challenging and it's difficult to rely on others for timeless but two months to powder coat. The skid is of outstanding workmanship and I really like their products. I have no problem with his fab skills I just wish he would be forthright about lead times. Just my experience with Relentless.

Your order was an unfortunate and rare occurrence for a skid plate. Lead time on skids is listed 1-4 weeks now depending on powder coat or no powder coat.
If you order werent powder coated it would have been substantially quicker to receive. We've been splitting our business for powder coating lately between 2 shops, a newer one and the older one. The older one takes a long time in some cases but their work is exceptional, however it's instances like this that has forced us into trying another shop as well who has been more timely with our parts.
If at any time you had become unhappy with waiting and called requesting a refund I would have done so the same day.
The holidays had some effect on time as well as we were closed several days around Christmas and New Years visiting family, this was something that affected the powder coat guys as well.
