hey guys, so this kinda ties to the Goodyear Hookups thread that Brooks (Vanguard) created for us TW Hawaii guys.

I was just looking through GY's site, and saw Fierce Attitude M/T's, which are priced very close to Duratracs. just wondering if anyone has any experience/opinions/stories about these tires?

the best I could find was this:

but still hoping that someone here can provide some feedback re: using them in Hawaii.

    thanks!

    Just a few
I loved them, had them for about 45k miles and abused them pretty good.

Basically another version of the Duratrac carcass. I don't think its stud-able and it has an all season rating, but not the severe weather snowflake rating. It sounds better suited to Hawaii's climate than the duratrac, but I just can't get over the barbed wire sidewalls. It reminds me of Pamela Anderson's tattoo.
FWIW, I met a guy who has them in 285s on a 9' wheel. Said they do well in sand when they go fishing.

I forgot to add that they are supposed to be a cheaper line, I think the Fierce lineup was released original under Dunlop, but All owned by Goodyear. They also offer the Wrangler Authority, available in mainland Wal Mart tire centers that are supposed to be another duratrac level tire.

My bother has the Fierce passenger tires on his 3 series and they work fine.

LOL. same thing I was thinking.

thanks for the info! still on the fence about ordering them. I wonder if the sidewalls are stronger than the Duratracs? I'm almost certain I'll be moving to the Big Island before the end of the year, and with all the lava rock off-roading we do when we go fish/dive, I'm just worried that the sidewalls will get ripped a new one :p
