    Seriously?,
    Watch the news!
Times were a lot different before all the technology took over, intrusive government surveilance, terrorism, more homeless people on our streets than ever, etc...

Absence of news coverage or electronics doesn't prove better times. Study history much?

what correlation is there with increased electronic surveillance and an attack on "faith"? Or the increased homeless population?

And lots of the "terrorism" that goes on is due to a different religion, rather than a lack of one

are you suggesting that religion is the sole thing that keeps a person moral? and that science/tech is what's causing the "degradation"?

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
They've already tried. And a doctor still has morals and values. You don't have to be a priest for those

Government has also past legislation mandating everyone under government health care to pay for abortions. Now while these things may not trouble you due to your preferred values, the fact that the Government can do this should.

Again, its not about who's values are correct, its about weather the government should be allowed to govern values to this extent

your original post says you're not against discrimination lol

I'm trying to iron out your argument. So you're on the internet on a forum about modern trucks but think science and technology is destroying our country and think people moving away from religion is why people are losing their jobs and why fringe/radical Islamists are taking on the Jihad

    I'm asking how//where is your proof? I'm not asking for a yes/no

I'm not overly religious, so by your assumption I'm a complete asshole?

Of course this is my opinion, formed from 50+yrs on this planet
Back in my day we didn't have school shootings, but I guess my opinion only counts if it agrees with yours...

And how do you assume that I assume your a "complete asshole"(your words)?

lol you think the government hasn't been spying/doing shady things to it's own people until recently?

Look up things like Operation Northwoods/Tuskegee Experiments and come back to me.

Violent crime is at an all time low, civil rights are better than ever, the standard of living is climbing for everyone around the world. I'm sure homelessness is lower but I'm on my phone and can't/too lazy to find sources.

The terrorists in the Middle East have just as much faith as you do in their religion. Just like Jewish, Zainist, Buddhist, people do.

Christianity being moved away from has nothing to do with morality for most people. I don't need a book to not go around murdering people. It's scary that lots if people apparently do to be honest.

You're the one picking parts of your own posts to reference...

I asked twice if you think religion is the sole thing that makes someone moral, your answer was "duh!" and your OP was basically the same- I said I'm not religious, so I must be immoral and an "asshole"

I've also asked twice why you think the movement away from faith was causing these things, and how, but you havet answered either, just that that's your opinion

which is fine, but then I ask the question again

why do you think the movement away from religion is the cause?

I'm not trying to upset you or be a douche, I'm genuinely curious- I'm sorry if I come across as argumentative

I may be incorrect but don't the government funded abortions only pertain to victims of rape or incest ?

Patiently waiting for Mike Deason to weigh in with some pearls of widsom to really knock this thing off the rails once and for all.

To everyone with a firm opinion of this matter, be it on the crazy side or the sane side (joking), your energy is wasted trying to win an argument on an internet forum. Just sayin.
