So over the last few weeks, I've been looking a trucks and after a few test drives, decided the Tacoma was what I preferred.

I posted a few threads regarding the transmission and bed length options with a double cab (a must for me) because in Canada, our DC choices in 2015 are DCSB Manual or DCLB Auto. I wasn't sure I wanted a manual, and I wasn't sure I wanted a LB. After trying a few used 6 speeds with questionable clutches, I was going to settle with a LB Auto, even though in my heart I wanted a SB for the looks and knowing that it should fit my hauling needs just fine.

I had been told on the phone that there were no brand new 6 speeds in town. Well on Saturday, I ended up across town and looked in a dealer lot only to see a brand new 2015 DCSB manual. Since it was new, I thought that maybe it would drive better than the only used examples I could get my hands on to try.

So I made an appointment to test drive the new 6 speed DCSB this morning, and I brought my wife with me as she needs to be comfortable with the clutch even though it will be our second vehicle. We took it out for a drive, and to my surprise, it was a very good shifting truck (not as smooth as a car, but still quite nice) and the clutch was not too stiff at all. My wife even thought it was fine and she drove it very well even though a manual transmission makes her nervous if she's never driven that particular vehicle.

So this afternoon I secured a deal on a black, 2015 TRD Sport DCSB 6 speed!!! I went to the dealer ready with online printouts of what the dealer invoice is and what my car should be worth as a trade. I was able to get the truck for about $700 above invoice, and I was able to get what I want for a trade. I paid extra for the 4 inch side steps, which will be installed before I take delivery. Because I wanted black, the dealer will be trading the one I drove (white) for a black one that another dealer has in stock.

I should be taking delivery early next week. Thank you to everyone on this forum that have answered my questions in older threads! I will post pics when its sitting in my driveway!

Just got mine 2 days ago. So far, I love it. It's a DCSB, white, 4cylinder auto. Forerunner. Great trucks. Congrats.

This would be a good time to get a 2015 Tacoma. I was fooling around looking at used Nissan Titans thinking it would be a better tow vehicle than the '05 Tundra. Waste of time that, but I saw a DCSB TRD OR auto 2015 Tacoma for $31,267 on the dealer lot. Probably get it for $30k if I wanted to. Pretty good deal.
