Now's a good time to get them then if shipping is free. They're pretty nice to have.

    ^^^^ Agreed!

These ship in a 24x4x4 box and shipping in the US can be anywhere from $8 to $13!

Average shipping to Canada for the Double Cab is $19. Access Cab come in a 30" box and shipping to Canada is an out of control $38!!!! This is why I'm offering 1/2 off shipping to Canada. :)

I just received a set today, and I'm a bit leary of mounting these on my tacoma because they stick out about 1/4 inch beyond and above the sill in the back and will keep my doors from closing air tight. Any pics installed on a tacoma? Am I supposed to bend this slightly for proper fitment?

As you can see in the first image, there is a bit of curve in the sill, downward toward the back.

It's more emphasized when you can see the gap of a straight edge sitting on top of it.

When the totally straight sill protector is set on the sill, you see gaps at the back where the tape will never make contact.

There are quite a few pics from a lot of different members a few pages out. Mine included and I do not have any problems with them.

Yours is a double cab. Mine is an access cab. My sill curves downward toward the back. (see pictures I posted). OP himself doesn't have any pictures installed on a Tacoma.

Start on page 16 or 17. Somewhere around there and go through a few. You'll see some access cabs as well.

I'm thinking I can use a rubber mallet to make them fit precisely on my access cab, but would like to hear from other access cab owners who've installed these. There are not a lot of access cab installed pictures. Saw one that looked like it also had a nice gap on the back side.

It appears your door sill itself (not the protector) may be slightly defective.

In doing a quick search, I found 3 AC posts where the protector appears to be a great fit.

I took 2 pictures, one from each side of the truck, they both exhibit the same curvature. I pretty sure this is the way the truck is built.

I would like to hear from people who actually installed these on their access cabs and if they had to bend them to fit the way they do.

I would also like to hear from the OP/Seller with his opinions of bending them a bit to fit to see if I should attempt this or just return them.

Thank you anyway for your input.

I've seen a few pics of AC's with these installed and no issues at all like the pics you took. Very strange.

Have you tried sliding them as far forward as you can?

I've sent out about 20 sets to AC owners and this is the first I've seen like this. Send them back if you like and I will issue a full refund.

Also, have you tried tucking them under the plastic molding?
