I have a 2007 4x4 TRD Sport, recently I have developed a noise coming from my front end and I was hoping someone might have some insight into how to fix it.

    Symptoms:
    • I get a low pitched hum coming from the front passenger wheel area at low speeds (10-25 mph).
    • The noise becomes louder and more pronounced as i speed up (25-55 mph).
    • At 55-65 mph the noise is loudest, there is a slight vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and gas pedal.
    • After 65 mph the vibration goes away and the noise is reduced.
    • When I change lanes (veer right) or go around a corner to the right and the body rolls to the driver side the noise goes away. It returns immediately after the body rolls back to the passenger side.

    Solution: (so far)

Everything I read said it was a wheel bearing. I spoke to a local garage, they thought it was a wheel bearing, So I changed the wheel bearing last weekend. It made it better, but the noise has not gone away completely. I am kind of at a loss, it definitely sounds like it is coming from somewhere between the engine and the wheel, so my next logical solution would be to check the CV Axle, but I don't want to do that if it wont fix the problem.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, Thank You

Did I post this message in the wrong area? New to the site just hoping some one else has found a solution to a similar problem.

    Thanks

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Maybe it needs the other wheel bearing, too. [IMG]

    My truck is not lifted.

The growling sound is definitely coming from the front passenger side. I found some other parts and it sounds like it might be the needle bearing.

Has anyone had their Differential Case Bearing replaced? I am trying to ballpark how much it will cost to fix.
