Depends on what wheels you are going to use with the 285s

You'll need new wheels with a different backspacing or wheel spacers...285s will rub on your UCAs with stock wheels otherwise...and you'll be able to fit em with that lift you mentioned. You'll have a lil trimming to do

Driver's side will rub on the fender well slightly in the front, maybe on the cab mount on the back. You will def. need to trim the plastic in the wheel well.

I like my 265's simply the 285's are a bitch to balance. The BFG 265's are fine even at 70mph. The 265 Nitto's were out of round .030 + and 8 ply. BFG-4ply is a nice smooth ride.

I'm running 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolandar AT-S on 16x8 with 4.5" backspacing, on 5100s at 2.5" on the front and the rear is stock TSB spring height. Only had to do very minor plastic trimming under the fender wells. The tires balanced just fine. Balancing has to do with the type of tire, there are plenty of 33's that balance just fine.

How bad will the tires rub the inside of my wheel well if I get these two upgrades?
