RCV Performance Axles

    3" OME lift with 885 coils on nitrocharger 90000 shocks with 5mm trim packer on driver's side, TC UCAs, Rear OME Dakar leafs with nitrocharger shocks, All-pro U-bolt flip kit and 3* Toytec shims, extended rear brakelines, 16" Raceline Rockcrusher 887 wheels with 3.6" backspacking, BFG KM2 305/70/16 tires, Doug Thorley header, Doug Thorley catback exhaust, Volant CAI with ram air, Weathertech floor mats, Kicker 12" sub, Kenwood 500W RMS amp, Relentless Fab front and rear bumpers, 4.88 gears, custom flatbed with swing out tire carrier
    Anybody using RCV aftermarket axles? I've heard a lot of talk about them but don't know anybody using them.

    If my axles or CVs break, would these completely eliminate any future similar problems?

    By having stronger axles, will that cause something else to break under high stress? If so what would that be?

    Well that's good to hear. Will increased CV angles make them more prone to breaking? Under what situations could a front axle break since you said I probably wont ever break an axle?

    A few bolts are different.
    With those axles you would not have to worry about blowing the boots, looks like at least.

    so the gears in the diff would be the next weakest link? If those broke, you wouldn't even be able to drive right? I think even the front gears are spinning in 2 wheel drive - they just dont have any power going to them.

    I know this is a really old thread but was hoping someone might be able to chime in a bit here. I'm lookin at soon rebuilding both my cv's.
    Am I understanding correctly when you guys are talking about these rcv axles...Since they allow for 'extra cv angles" would I be able to crank my coilovers a bit higher than they currently are without worry?

    I tried to order a set two weeks ago from allpro and was told that RCV has put a hold on selling them due to reliability issues. Which I took to mean they were breaking! I called RCV and was told the same thing. Bummer! I was finally ready to buy a set for my 09. I hope they can redesign it to be more reliable.

    But as others on here have pointed out, it would be better to break an axle, than to break a diff or the gears!
