New guy with new Tacoma

    Hello members.

    New guy from L A (Lower Alabama) who took delivery of my TRD Off Road Doublecab standard bed in Barcelona Red on Saturday March 28th.

    Really like it so far (about 240 miles). It replaces a 2008 Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab Z71 4x4 short bed. Being smaller the maneuverability is better on the Tacoma but the driving factor in my choice was the durability record of the Tacoma.

    Hope to read and learn here so I may not post much since I always learned when listening, not talking.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Noticed interest in boats/fishing which is something else I enjoy.

    Read a long post last night about a guy whose first oil change at the dealer went bad when the drain plug was left out. Long story short the dealer dropped the pan and all bearings were in spec but dealer apologized and gave him a lifetime power train warranty.

    Al is well that ends well I guess although I will be sure to check for problems after my complimentary oil changes.

    See you guys in the 2nd gen forum or the South East sub forum since I live in Mobile, Alabama.

    Also really like your 69? Camaro for when you are in a hurry. Mine is an '04 Torch Red Corvette Coupe 6 sp. with a few mods.
