    Hello.

I currently purchased a N-fab Spare Tire Carrier. Great design and look. I absolutely recommended. But i have some concerns, and was looking for some input from some senior members.

This is what it looks like now (also instaled a weather braided chain with master lock on the tire and n-fab rack)

wanted some input on ways i can minimize the risk of getting stolen. I purchased this Trimax-Sparewheel Lock

also on my bed of my truck i have D-hooks like these

can I transfer these to the front of my bed?

I want to know what methods / products you have to protect your tire and wheel. Maybe someone can point me to the right direction.
    Thank you for your time!

I'd wire lock the tire to the carrier and use some kind of tamper resistant fasteners to mount the carrier to the rails.

Something like this with T nuts...

Don't transfer the d-rings in back of bed forward, I would suggest adding new beefier d-rings to the front using bed bolts. Bigger so the bed bolt goes thru it and using the bed bolts so everything is bolted down to the frame and not just something thru the composite bed. Also no new holes in bed. I would trust that more than anything just thru the bed or bolted to bed rails. I would use the tamper resistant bolts above to mount carrier to bed rails but not for realllly locking the tire to the truck so it goes nowhere. Run a nice cable lock thru the wheel and both of the d-rings installed under front bed bolts is what I would do. For extra security add a locknut underneath the bed on the bed bolts you add d-rings to.
