With a punchy powertrain, the Toyota Tacoma excels for hauling, towing, and off-road use. But for everyday driving or commuting, the Tacoma feels dated and is uncomfortable. Clumsy handling makes it a chore to drive, and the rough ride is fatiguing, with constant jiggling and a rubbery feel over even small imperfections. The cabin’s high floor and low roof make access tricky and compromise the driving position. The rust-free composite bed is a handy and practical feature. Options can easily drive up the price well into full-sized truck territory. Fair cornering capabilities and long stopping distances contributed to a low score in our testing. A redesigned Tacoma launches in the fall.

Another thread on it... in which I kind of picked apart their reasoning, at least in my own mind. Its a poorly written opinion piece.

 

So dumb. Between the tacoma, frontier, and now colorado. Tacoma has a much nicer interior than the frontier. Haven't seen the colorado. Looks better than both of them though. Honestly i like the driving position with seat low and stretch out in front. More like a car. Im 6'3 and don't feel cramped at all driving the tacoma. What do you expect from handling its no different than most trucks. This is funny.

ha, clumsy handling. Theyve never driven my truck then.

Also the point about the high step-in height is just dumb. Go buy a minivan if you want to slide into your seat.

 

I actually seen the inside of a nee colorado, they arent to bad looking, but its not my tacoma.

Why I bought my taco in the first place and the reason for it... Just needed more room at the end

 

So in otherwords "This truck works great for a truck. But this truck sucks as a car."

Who knew trucks were good for truck stuff?

 

Logic?!?! If you want a Honda Accord go buy one...

 

i haven't had any of these problems with my truck.

 

God I love my truck.
