Sold the truck last Friday. I'm looking into getting a 4x4 Long bed at some point but for now, it's been fun and interesting to play around with a truck again. Have fun all, Aloha.

Mahalo guys. I decided that the long bed is too "long". I'd have issues with condo parking.

Picking up a Magnetic Gray, can't wait to begin modding this one. Wheels/Tires and lift are first things on order. Aloha!

    Need your opinion on this:

Toytec Eibach Coils or OME 885 with 1/4" Top Plate?

My goal is to achieve 2.5" of lift with no preload on Bilstein 5100's.

Toytec is backordered on the Eibach springs until end of the month. I had these on my old 2007 Prerunner (1st gen Toytec/Eibach Springs = 1.6" of lift) and preset the 5100's at 0.85 (2nd Clip Up) for approx 2.5" in total lift. I felt the ride was excellent and in fact the truck handled way better than stock. OME 885's are an option but I have no experience and the forum search seems to be positive but also many comments about the springs sagging over a short period of time (2-3 years). Anyone with experience care to share their thoughts? I'm on the fence because I'd like to place my order so that I can get my 2015 up and stuff the wheel wells with new shoes.

    Mahaloz.

as long as the OME springs have the X at the end...like 885X they won't sag. They had a revision a few years ago and corrected the issue.

I have the 886X and mine are still stiff as hell even with all the punishment I've put them through.

I have 5100's set at 0, with 885x (1/4" plate on driver's side only) on my truck now. I had them since last September and I don't think they've sagged at all. I would say it's stiffer than the stock sport suspension, but barely noticeable... rides like a truck I guess.

but stupid me, I didn't measure before/after when the Hawaii Kai shop did the install :D maybe I can measure and we can compare? I think you measure from the middle of the hub straight up to the fender?

when I do my measurement, I measured from the lip of the rim at 12 o'clock position to the fender and then add half the rim diameter, its a little faster than trying to line up the tape measure at the very center of the hub cab.

That's what I've been doing. I believe stock height should be 20.5" front and 22.5" in the back.

very smart! I've been eyeballing the center of the hub since its set back further than the tire wall.

Are you not 100% sure how much of lift your setup ended up with? Can you take a measurement and I'll comoare it to my stock setup? Appreciate it.

just measured, and I'm seeing right about 22-1/2" on both sides. I think it used to be a tad higher before, but things have settled since then. if it matters, I'm currently on 265/75/16's around 36psi. here's a picture from a couple months ago.
