Hello guys I have a 2004 Tacoma when ever I turn on my ac I immediately hear a click sound coming from the center lower console or passenger side like a relay or actuator it only click once, is an intermittant, but continuous, the click happens while ac is in every so in as long as the ac is on like I said its only a click sound. The a/c itself seems to work just fine. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, is this normal??? I read online that this clicking noise is often cause because the freon is low!! Is this correct ????? Or is it just the compressor kicking in and is this Norma?? Do you guys experience this click sound as well???

Well from my experiance the clicking you hear is normal and is either from a relay or the a/c amplifier. As the A/C compressor and system cycles in and out you will hear a clicking noise both from the a/c compressor clutches engaging to the pully or under the dash from the relay or amplifier getting current. Now depending on how many times the system cycles can depend on the outside temp, inside temp, humididty and a bunch of other inputs. If your still getting cold air the system should be fine and the noise is normal. If it bothers you and for a little peace of mind have the system pressure tested and checked for the proper amount of freon.
