My aluminum skid on prerunner bumper has water stains, what to do

Lots of chrome

So my truck sat dirty for a long time and I finally got around to cleaning it up. Got everything looking good with the exception of the aluminum plating on my prerunner style bumper. It has a bunch of water drip stains running down it and looks like crap. Any recommendations on what to use to get rid of the stains.

I figured before I waste my time and money buying product that don't work I'd get some direction from fellow TWers.

Can't post up pics right now, but when I get a chance I'll do so.
