Some off-topic fun with our Axial SCX10.

We have found that downtime in camp, at home or on the road that this little Jeep is a must-have! We just have to make sure to bring extra batteries so everyone gets a turn to play with it :D

Plus in true Rigid Industries fashion it has working lights, E-Series light bar and a pair of D-Series Dually! So the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down.

When you pull it out of the box you almost don't want to get it dirty!
But it of course doesn't take long for that feeling to pass.

When playing around with an R/C car its crazy how you look at everything differently.
The smallest piles of wood or terrain changes are so exciting!

Got an Axial bumper like on yours already and a Chinese 1/8 Scale 3Racing winch enroute. I swapped to a DX3e the other day in preparation for the winch and I'm liking on the Tx. I'm wanting some stamped steel bead locks for some needed weight on the corners and I'm wanting a set of BFGs like you've got. Then I'll sort and clean up the wiring and she'll be done....

I've got several other smaller RCs as projects for the kids so the dozer doesn't get as much attention. It's been over a week on the same two Lipos without needing a charge.

You mentioned "then she'll be done..."
From the looks of it you're too much of an enthusiast to ever be done with a build :D

I bet your kids love them!

I scored them some used Mini Losis from eBay on the cheap. Bearings, aluminum bits, Lipos, made one with a solid diff spool and it has the Tx/Rx and esc from the Honcho at 50% drag brake-that's the fun one. Just yesterday I put some pink aluminum race shocks on it. (All girls, BTW.)

I've got the winch mounted inboard because I didn't like how it stuck out and took away from the approach angle. Picked up this bumper from DollarHobbyz for cheap. I spent about 30m making it fit solid and it can take a beating. RC4WD fairlead, too.

I put the Rx box in the back like a gas tank.

I want to play too! It started life as a Jeep and the guy I got it from added some bits and the Honcho body:

I had to have the old school Yota body when I saw it. I painted it like my old 87 SR5 4x4:

I love the Trail Finder body. I bought a 2 pack of them on eBay last year, butchered the first one and have trimmed the second one just perfect. But I'll have to shorten the wheelbase on my other SCX10 and I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. Paint scheme is going to be that old OEM tan color to match my FIL's old Yota.

I'm constantly changing the electronic layout and almost every pic I've posted something is not the same as it sits now. But I think I've finally gotten it dialed in like I want it. I think a Holmes 55t or higher will be my next purchase for the Dozer.
