Personally, that does not have enough calories in it.

When combined with proper diet and exercise regimen then yeah, you sure can. That alone will not do it though.

It's designed to be taken at least twice a day with an integrated workout plan so you gain the the right weight.
Yeah you can drink it and slightly gain weight but if you don't drink at least 2 a day it won't do anything.

edit: I wouldn't take it then if you're trying to lose/maintain weight. This has a (relatively) high caloric level so you can pack on the extra pounds.

You can't just magically take that and expect miracles. Also, if you go through one single tub you will experience no change. You need to have enough activity for your body to recognize that it needs to change. You also need to have a proper diet to allow for the changes to be made via nutrition. What are you looking to achieve?

With no change in activity and having no idea where his (her?) resting metabolism rate is I would take a stab at saying that nothing will change in terms of weight. Or if they do it will go right back to normal when the tub runs out. If you are eating enough one single scoop could be enough to put you into a surplus hence "gaining weight"...

I was thinking that and based what I said off the original post, assuming he wanted to gain weight. That was before OP gave more info. I do agree, no change will happen if he wants to just get rid of the tub.

Eat (or drink) enough of anything and you'll gain weight. As already stated you need a proper diet and workout regimen to make changes, protein powder is a crap shoot with what you're getting in terms of nutrients/type of protein/calories not to mention the plethora of chemicals. If you want protein you're better off hitting up whole food choices rather than a tub but to each his own, try it and see how you like it.

That is a mass gainer. A product marketed to people who want to gain muscle mass but have a hard time eating enough calories to do so.
It is in no way a weight loss product. You may find you get yourself into trouble trying to look for magic bullets when it comes to anything weight or fitness related. Just eat less and workout more if you want to lose weight. Do not fall for marketing gimmicks that convince you to buy unhealthy products (look at where the carbs come from in mass gainers) that have virtually no micronutrient content.

    Eat food, REAL food.
I find the best rule to follow is minimize your consumption of prepared/processed foods. 95% of what you eat should be born or grow out of the ground how it is.

Give it to some young dumb kid who wants a gainer. I personally wouldn't bother using it. It's not going to be good for weight loss. All the carbs come from dextrose powder and it has a very high amount of calories. Do you know the volume of real food you can have for 750 calories?
