I went to the Denver Auto Show today. Here are some pictures. As you can see below, couldn't get close, couldn't sit in the truck.

This huge bear was peaking into the Denver Convention Center. I spoke with him briefly, as you would guess he was trying to see the 2016 Tacoma. Sadly, you can't see it from where he was standing.

And here she is. The truck was on this rotating platform.

The famous grille, love it or hate it. I'm giving my '96 Tacoma to my son this summer, so I'm seriously considering buying a 2016. I've had the same "too big" or "too ugly" grille concerns as others. As the truck was rotating so I could see the front end for the first time I was thinking "Please Don't Suck Please Don't Suck..." And my opinion is: it looks better in person than in pictures. The grille is not as "prominent" or "big nosed" as in pictures. Even looking at my pictures the nose seems exaggerated. But the chrome grille looks cheap and detracts. It looks like a bunch of wadded up aluminum foil. That part looks worse in person than in the pictures. My thought was "Change the ugly chrome to black and we're all good up front." I was relieved and felt better after seeing the nose in person.

Couldn't really see the interior. Bad lighting, dark inside.

    Headlight porn.

Fog light porn? And notice how "busy" the chrome grille looks. Tone it down!!

    'dat ass....

I know how you guys like upskirt shots, so here are a few.

And this was so sad when I was leaving. The bear was still tapping on the window trying to get in. :(

It wasn't on my short list of colors, but it looked good in person. I'd consider it now.

Bingo! Do that, and all of my concerns about front-end looks go away.

I like the entire truck except that God awful front end. I was hoping it would grow on me but blah! Maybe when I actually see it in person I'll change my mind.

How are you going to mount an aftermarket bumper?

The bumper is tied into the fender.

Don't mind the rest, but it will take some getting used to that front.

I was there today too. I kicked butt at Toyota trivia and won three tape measures

Still unsure how I feel about it. Had a lot hanging down underneath but I guess some of that is on the 2nd gens too.

And yet again they still have no info about MPG or HP

Definitely needs new wheels. Yuck. And of all the colors in the world...that one? Another yuck. And the grille/ front end I'm not a fan of. Style wise...I think I'll pass. Lol. Sorry. I like the style of the later 1st gens better.

I was there yesterday too. Looked sharp in person, but would not have picked that color myself. I took some video so I could drool over it until they start delivering. That's a lot of drool for the next 5-6 months.
