Add a Leaf Only

    Has anyone added a leaf without lifting the front at all?

    I dont really want to "lift" my truck, but I have the 2+1 leaf on a 2012 DCSB 4x4 and I'd like to increase my payload a bit. I already installed the 5100's in the rear - I know wheelers has a 1.5" AAL but that's the smallest I can find. If anyone else has done this, would you mind posting a few pics so I can see what the rake would be like?

    I know I can replace the whole leaf pack, but Toyota says I'm not eligible for the TSB pack, and I'm trying to save a little coin.

    Any and all input is welcome. Sorry if this is old news - I tried searching for this with no real results.

    I have an add a leaf and I left the overload spring in. I would say that even if you did not leave the overload spring in, it would still sit very high in the back and would probably look pretty weird. That is just my 2 pennies. I would think you would want to do something, even if it a spacer, up front. I know I will catch crap for that, but if you are not crawling or running hard off road, a 1.5 inch spacer could give the desired result you want without breaking your wallet. I have Fox stuff all around and would recommend doing something like that in the future, when you get the money. Also make sure when you do the add a leaf in the rear, you get shocks or shock extensions or something. I had the TRD bilsteins in the back and they were not long enough. Every time i would hit a speed bump, the rear of the truck would unload and there would be a harsh bang. The shocks were acting as stoppers and limiting the travel. I am surprised they were not ripped apart. Sorry for being long winded.

    I added these to my '14 TRD Access Cab. I don't really load it up much, so I cant vouch for the load capacity, but it stiffened it up a bit(which I wanted), and its adjustable to your personal tastes...
