2002 quad cab speakers?!?

Hello everyone I'm new to this site so please let me know if this isn't the right spot for this post.
I'm trying to figure out if anyone has replaced the stock 6x8's in the doors with component speakers and if so what size and what is needed for the install? Thank you for your time and advice.

 

I replaced my 6x8s with kenwood 6x8s.. but if I remember correctly. The speaker plate or housing whatever youd like to call it, is just freakin huge.. youd have to make/or modify the original speaker plate. Cause even with the speakers I bought I got annoyed and just made it fit however fit in quite nicely.. I hope this helps with making a decision on picking out speakers
