I never said the MPG were the only reason for the upgrade.

I got into a Long box auto Limited as well.

A little of this and a little of that.
I get 16-17 mpg with my 2011 DCSB 4WD V6 manual. Not great, but not horrible IMO.

I've gotten as low as 14 mpg and as high as 24 mpg per tank. Completely acceptable for a 10 year old, 4x4, crew cab truck that weighs over 4000 lbs. I care more about the total cost over the lifetime of the vehicle and the Tacoma has no competition in that regard. It is also the truck I most enjoy looking at and driving.

So my used paid-for Tacoma that cost 18,000 bucks 3 years ago and now only has 70,000 miles can get 14 mpg all it wants. It is absurd when friends and coworkers brag that their new full-size trucks get better mpg when their purchase price was triple to quadruple mine, and I should really say "finance price" because they're paying $800+ per month for the next 84 months.

    Stock ~everything, and mostly highway; I probably average 18-19, though I haven't measured in a while(no point in the snow). I have pulled 22 on a road trip, 55-65mph. I didn't buy a truck for MPG :)

I have the supercharger and AFE CAI installed but I average about 17mpg. I'd say 70-80% highway and the rest is city but in the bay area, at least half of that highway mileage is in stop and go.

I use the app "Gas Cubby" on my iPhone so I track 95% of my fill ups (and services) so its accurate. I learned that my ultra gauge is off by 1-1.5mpg.

Also, I noticed about a 1mpg increase after installing the CAI.
