Front end clicking at low speeds

Yesterday I noticed a loud click at low speeds 10-20 mph, it happens while driving straight and turning. It does not subside if I push on the brakes. Any help would be great.

 

Sounds dumb but could be a rock in the tread of a tire.

 

Nope, checked it and tires are all clear.

 

something wrapped around a drive shaft or axle? or in one of the wheels...

 

Nope everything is all clear. The clicking sound is rotational. And only from 10-20. Very weird

 

check the dust plate, brake dust shield for a rock or something stuck in it!

 

The old rock stuck on top of the caliper gag? My wifes Subaru is notorious for that.

 

No rocks that I could see and dust shield is clear. I heard some say it could be cv axles but I would expect the clicking more than just from 10-20.

 

the CVs would be noticeable mostly when turning

 

try doing 360 in reverse in each direction to check your CV

 

Is this just a suggestion to make me drive around like a fool? I'll definitely give it a try! Thanks. Could it be the wheel bearings maybe going bad?

 

dose the sound get worst when you turn right or left (will going fwd) ? if so it could be the bearing

 

It's constant between 10-20 no matter what I do, forward, left, right, braking.

 

All right. I had a pop from under my truck, the LCA cam bolt was loose. Lift the front of your truck & torque them all (4 total) to 155 ft lbs if 2wd, 100 lbs if 4wd.

 

I've had that issue before and I tightened them but I'll do it again just incase

 

Everything has been tightened with no change.

 

Subbed b/c of same issue. I noticed mine doing this yesterday, if I get over 20mph it goes away. I prob never would have even noticed it if I wouldn't have had my windows down. It's just like a constant click, click, click then after 20mph it goes away. Hoping this weekend to get the truck in the air and see if I can pin point where it is coming from.

 

mine clicks or pops when I stop and go I really only hear it in parking lots. Toyota ses its my front break caliper grabbing the rotar and jolting forward/back. Sure enough there is a noticeable amount of play in the break system. They suggested new pads and rotors to tighten everything up but said it will never go away completely.

 

Hmm I did just have new brakes and rotors put on less than month ago May have to get it checked to see if mine is similar issue.
