Ok, I searched for this discussion but was not able to find it but I'm sure its somewhere so please send me link if you know where it is.

Has Toyota issued any recalls concerning the head lights? I know its a common problem. I just traded in and bought a 2011 Tacoma Double Cab Prerunner with TRD package. It has aftermarket tail lights but the head lights have the classic burns and cracks from the overheating DRL's. Before I bought some aftermarket Halo LED lamps I wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with getting new ones from Toyota.

Sweet, just called my local Stealership and they confirmed by VIN # that my truck is good for a headlight replacement. He also confirmed that since it is a safety recall that Toyota has corrected the problem and it shouldn't happen again.
