Blacked out emblems and grill. 265/75's shortened antenna
+1 for techron. The concentrate that is I'll run a bottle through a couple tanks before a oil change. Or if I am ordering something from Amazon I'll get some SL-1. Both contain high amounts of PEA "poly ether amine". Go read about the cleaners on bitog. If you want to read till your eyes bleed. Or just stick with gumout regane. Chevron concentrate. SL-1 or the Amsoil cleaner. I also recommend running a good premium gas.

i have used seafoam in all my gas filled junk for at least 10 years. i have no bad gas issues ever. you can let it sit over winter or summer and itll fire right up after that long here at least. i put a can in my truck about every 6 months

After reading this thread I went out and tried to find some seafoam or Chevron Techron, but the one place I went to was out of the Seafoam and didn't sell the Techron.

So I bought a couple bottles of BlueChem Fuel system cleaner. Put one gas tank and put half a bottle through the air intake nipple thingy on my Acadia.

Anyway, my Acadia only has 100,000 KM's (62,000 miles) and a couple of years ago I had the system cleaned the one time I went to Mr. Lube for an oil change and tranny fluid change.

No smoke whats so ever, which is what I was expecting and hoping for!

Next will be the engine cleaner before my next oil change....

93 Octane, Gumout Regane every 2,500mi. On a good tank of gas if I dont gun it or haul ass a lot. I can get 400+ miles per tank. I usually refill at just over a 1/4 tank. So I'm right around 300+ miles at that point. And that's in the Warm weather months. I get just under those numbers in the winter.

bg44k or techron is a good call always
    ----

you cannot rely on the statement 'run a good grade of gas you'll be fine' because your engine does not simply consume the gas you put in it

it also consumes oil vapor or oil droplets which can be wildly different chemical composition depending on the oil you use, and amount of pcv valve and ring blowby. also a lot depends on how much scavenging is done when the engine shutsdown...if any. it is this mung from burnt oil and the carbon it leaves behind that can be reduced with a little extra solvents in the occasional tank
