    Hey Gents

Wondering if this is common. I've had my '07 Access Cab TRD for a while now. When I got it I noticed some minor surface rust inside the cab, pedals, other metal bits under the dash. I thought that was odd but didn't worry about it. At some point I noticed that the driver's side carpet was damp from time to time. I'm n Canada. I assumed some snow was getting past my floor matts so I got Weathertech mats. It was still damp under the mats. Last night we had a major rain storm and this morning the rug was soaked along the the door sill.

Is this a common issue? Any suggestions? I don't think it's a windshield issue. The rug is dry up behind the pedals. It's really just wet along the left side of the foot well along the door sill.

Any suggestion are much appreciated. Thank you.

    Cheers

    Andy

I had the exact same issue in my 94', only on the passenger side. Never could figure out the problem so I just lived with it. I suspect if I lived in a place where it rained a lot it would have been a more serious issue.

Hi, I live in Halifax which is really bad for wet/slushy snow, and I have Weathertechs in my Subaru. While the Weathertech trays are great for containing the moisture, they also trap any that gets by, or was already in the carpet. Your solution might be to remove your Weathertechs, dry out your carpet really well and then replace the trays. From then on you will have to be careful to wipe the trays out if the water starts to pool in them.

I have the same problem, I let the moisture pool and it leaked under. I put a shamwow under the Weathertech tray, but I think I will have to put a space heater in there for a few hours with a window cracked to evaporate the moisture!

    Good luck.

Turns out that the plastic barrier that is glued with caulking to the door behind the door panel wasn't sealing properly. Water would run down the door behind the panel and drain onto the door sill and into the truck. The other issue is that my rear window had been resealed at some point and it was a hack job. It was leaking too. Got that resealed. We'll see how that goes over the next day or so. We're expecting a bunch of rain.
