    Hello all,

I am not mechanically inclined. I own a 2003 Tacoma, 4x4 V6. very standard in all regards.

The leaf springs are shot and I need new ones. I'd like stronger than average leaf springs, for hauling green wood. From what I've read OME dakar springs seem like the way to go, these: If I buy these (I won't install them, mechanic at work will), do I need to worry about lifting the rest of my truck? How about additional parts, what else do I need to put these springs on a stock Tacoma? Should I even be looking at these springs?

    Thanks

I maybe comparing apples to oranges but My Dakar's on my 2014 gave me about 3 inches of lift. You would definitely want to lift the front. I installed my rears first and it was pretty funny looking until I got the front coil overs in!

Now if your are going to be hauling a lot I would recommend them. Mine do not seem to sag at all with a heavy load, it just rides like a Caddy :) Its a little stiff unloaded.
