Hey guys, I am having a issue with my 2006 Tacoma that I put on aftermarket wheels and tpms sensors,( that are listed for my truck). I scanned the truck , with a computer that resets the light and all is fine , except when I go for long drives, the light comes back on and will not reset with the button under the dash for the light , I have to take the computer from my shop and reset it that way ,,,, any ideas ?

    Thanks Mark

Are your OEM wheels close by. It will pick those sensors up and not trigger the light until you're far enough away; sometimes miles. Are you sure you programmed the new ones properly?

I think so , there is three different options for programming, and ive tried all 3, but with the same result every time

Are you saying the range of the TPMS transmitters is miles??? I doubt that.

No. The light won't come on immediately, thus possibly miles away depending on your speed. Thanks.

If you still have the oem wheels, tires, and tpms (under pressure) in your garage, that would explain why the light goes out at home. The sample rate is not instantaneous, and the computer will look for a couple under pressure samples before lighting the dash light, which can explain why you get several miles from your home/garage/OEM TPMS before your light goes on.

Aren't TPMS a wonderful time saver?
