I am a huge Mazda enthusiast but since they never made a truck (US side) and i really wanted a truck i decided on getting a Tacoma. Unfortunately i purchased a base Tacoma, due to low price and low mileage, thinking all the other add-ons other models have for example: Cruise Control, Steering wheel controls and backup camera, could be added since the prewiring would already be there. Im beginning to find that is not the case. I added BSM, Fog lights and fog light switch to my Mazda3 pretty easily all the wiring was already there.

When i purchased the Tacoma it seems as the previous owner had considered installing a Backup Camera because i had a Tailgate handle and camera in a box as well as a brand new in box GENTEX rear view mirror. So i installed the tailgate camera and it connected straight to the harness on the rear but it did not work. Im really curious as to what other 2014 and 2015 Owners did to install. Although its still considered 2nd Generation the wiring for the 2013 and 2014 are different. here are some pictures i took from various models.
