    Hey guys!

So I have power to the switch but no light. I installed my foglights and ran all the wires like the directions said minus the wire to the fuse box. What I did is splice it into the power wire that runs from my LED bed light kit which runs to the constant power bolt in the fuse box with the provided 3 amp fuse that came with the bed light kit. When i push the switch theres no light and the fuse blows. Can i just install a bigger fuse and call it a day or will that fry my LED lights? Should I hook up the fogs separately..... if so, easiest way? I've searched and read all fog light posts but obviously missing/kipping something :( Help please ha ha

Hook the lights up separately. The fuse is there to protect the wires and if its blowing and you just put a bigger one in it may melt the wires

What I did for my duallys I have was hook them up to an aux fuse box under the hood that I have installed. But if you don't have an aux fuse box you will have to get power some where else. You can run it straight from the battery so they can come on when ever you want them too. Just make sure that you have the proper size fuse for the amps your lights draw.

    Hi Ronnie,
I'm no sure what kit you have, OEM or after market.
Most FL installations that I've seen have 2 12VDC connections.
One is the control/on-off to a relay coil (low current). The other 12 source is attatched to an accessory or battery terminal in a fuse box or directly to the positive battery post (high current) and then to one the relays high current terminal. The switched high current output of the relay will go to the fog lights.

Just remember, there is a coil in the relay that needs a ground and 12VDC to actuate the relay (or turn it on) to switch the high current 12VDC from the battery to the fog lights.

By tapping into another circuit, you may have created an over current situation blowing the fuse. Hope his helps.

^^^Yes, and run the add a fuse through the radio fuse so they run when ever the key is turned.

    Thanks for the help!

Ya, I have an aftermarket kit. I'll use that diagram and hopefully knock it out this weekend :)

Use Jim's schematics and like MTyota suggested, use the fuse box under the dash to supply the switchable low current 12DC to to the relay. There is one more thing to look for, a Prewired cable under the dash near the fuse box under the dash. I found a few cables under the dash and a cable looped and taped to the drivers side head light you may want to ring them out to see if this is the Fog Light Cable. If it is, I plan to use it for the set I ordered.
