Thanks, that is what I figured, the smaller bolt didn't look like it was supposed to have one since it fit in there pretty tight. Not super snug, but if there was to be a bushing, it would have to be like 1/16" thick. I should hopefully be putting these on Monday since places were close on good Friday.

I got mine installed today. Can't believe how tough those factory bolts were to cut! Other than that everything seems great. Alignment this week! Can't wait to drive straight!

    Update:
I can confirm that these will work on our Toyotas, and they're awesome because you can freaking grease them.

And also that the cam washers were the wrong size or too small and didn't fit. Yea I read this thread before hand. Looks like moog and this company are pretty much all the same manufacturer, except the Toyota bolt kit. Sucks that we as Tacoma owners have to wait like 10 years for manufacturing of the correct parts. But I love my truck over others out there so I won't complain

The best way is to just go with factory hardware. Use some antiseize and it'll be fine. Of you really want to be safe, go get a lifetime alignment from Firestone. Every once in a while you can have them realign and keep things moving so they won't freeze.

I didn't try for a different year, but looks like rockauto pulled moog and others off the shelf, could also be that they were all from the same manufacturer and got bought out. I know this wasn't there last week when I looked. uploadfromtaptalk1428537648709.jpg

I replaced my LCA's a couple weeks ago and found that one of my cams had started "rounding" at the bolt again. It was pretty sloppy. This is failure two for me and I will be picking up new OEM to replace these sometime soon. I can no longer recommend the bolts/cams.

Image showing the no longer flat area:

pulled the OEM bolts and sleeves out today during normal maintenance. The anti-seize trick is working so I slopped them up and stuck em back in :woot: see ya at the end of summer.

These are my 2nd set, I thought the 1st set was damaged by the alignment guy at Firestone. I installed this new set sometime last year and had a different alignment tech(& company) do the alignment at that time. I personally removed everything after not being realigned and found them looking this way. I don't believe it was the alignment guy this time, I had an "old timer" that's been doing alignments for over 30 years do the last alignment on the 2nd set of bolts and he let me stand under the truck and watch him work. He aligned and then actually used a torque wrench(which I don't think Firestone does). I believe it's just inferior metal on the cams. My 1st set looked even worse.

I'll be watching this thread to see if others have issues. But like I stated, I will no longer consider these or recommend them.

    OEM FTW...

Just ordered a set of OEM from Camelback, $130 shipped. Moogs were $80 shipped, spend the extra $50, below are the part numbers needed except for the bushing (48654-60030), not my pic.

Indeed, wish I had just ponied up the first time for OEM. Now with aftermarket arms/bushings, and knowing of the issue, I don't see having any problems with seizing.

X3! Except I paid for these Moog bolts twice because I thought for sure the alignment tech F'd them up the first time they failed. Lessons learned

maybe I don't understand how these things work.... but would tacking the washer to the sleeve fix things?

Hey so sorry its been so long for an update on me fixing my LCA bushings....

I first noticed that 3 of my cam tabs were flattened so I figured I'd take off that side(passenger) LCA and fix the tabs and install new bushings while I had it off.

If you are pretty confident in your mechanical aptitude this is a very do-able, but can be time consuming job.

so once the truck was jacked up removed wheel, unbolted the lower shock bolt, 2 bolts at the bottom of the spindle then the LCA will be hanging. The front cam bolt was seized, the rear bolt was not seized. the front took me a good hour or so because this was my first time doing this job and didn't want to cut or wreck the wrong thing. in the pics you can see the bolt that was seized in the bushing which I end up grinding enough with a dremal to get the LCA off the truck.

Once I had the passenger side off I had a local tire shop push out the bushings for me for around $50. I didn't mind because I may have taken me quite some time to get those babies out! I bought MOOG replacement bushings for Lordco(like napa) for around $90 for the front and back bushing for the one side. Toyota wanted $90 EACH!

I did buy OEM front cam bolt and sleeve to replace the one that was seized (approx $140)

Once I had the passenger side done and put back together with anti seize I wanted to do the driver side even thought I didn't have to.
I was able to get the driver side all apart a lot faster and did not have the front or rear cam bolts seize! I think I was lucky!!!

After both side LCAs had new bushings and put back together with anti seize I wanted to weld a bead behind my cam tabs before getting an alignment....this got a bit silly.... My buddy down the road said I could use his welder so I drove it over but was worried about room to weld and burning the new bushings so I ended up pulling both LCAs off, then welding cam tabs, then put it all back together again....long process and PITA. Next time I would rent a welder and leave it all apart at my house.

A few days later I got in for an alignment only to have the mechanic to show me my SPC UCA ball joint was shot!!! ahhh anyways SPC was great and sent me a new ball joint for FREE because they knew there was a bad batch that had problems.... so another week later I got the ball joint in the mail, installed it (very easy) and then went and got it aligned and DONE :)

whole process took a couple weeks, luckily I had another vehicle I could drive at the time.

total cost to me for 1 new cam bolt and 4 new LCA bushings and alignment around $550
would have been probably around $800-$1000 at the shop.

    Here are some pics......
