I'm sure it has those stupid brass-colored clips that you just snip off and remove the emblem. Can any one confirm?

Want to paint the emblem body color.

I won't confirm because I don't want to break my new grille, but it appears you might pop them off and glue back on? no clips to be seen, but the letters were definitely attached separate(individually) to the grille. they are silver/grey color

they look more like line-up tabs more than anything. they are part of the grille, not tabs sticking through from the letters. I'm guessing the letter are glued on

I just ordered this grill as well....(haters gonna hate). I wanted a ghost satoshi but HomerTaco doesn't have the one I want...bummer.

I was also thinking about painting the letters. Should be interesting.

Is this grill just the center insert?

Yes, it's just the center insert. The grille is a piece of cake to get off the truck, but the little plastic clips kind suck getting undone as everything is plastic and you don't want to break the outer part. I just bent the locking tabs back on the old insert, It was too hard to release them and get it all apart without breaking something. The factory insert are cheap anyway, so it'll just go in the garbage. It would cost more to ship. than it's worth

Can't the body shop just mask off the letters?

I think you're opening a can of worms.

They wiggle quite a bit, so I'm sure a person can get them off carefully and glue them back on
