Should I feel bad that I want a 2017 Raptor?

Hell nah bruh, I get hard when I see a Raptor...trust me, I want one bad. Just about the only Ford worth a damn that I'd buy. But, I'm committed to my Tacoma lol.

I'd love to have one too, but refuse to pay what they want for one. The cost of one of them things new could get you in a nice new Powerstroke fairly efficiently that could tow anything you threw at it.

 

When I was in high school, I only lived 4 blocks away from the school and still drove, had to be cool n all.

 

Tacomas have weak frames too. They rust away faster than they'll bend though.

 

My buddy has a 14 Raptor with the S/C. Nice truck, but not my thing. I drove it a few times, not what I was expecting. His never sees dirt though. He has thing where he buys the most expensive of whatever he is buying. So he goes all out every 5 or 6 years on a new truck.

 

I had a chance to work on a new F150 Larado today and boy Fords making lots of changes. Cooling system is using 2 different sets of computer controlled luvvers to control airflow. Good luck mounting lights. Customer also told me he had to sign waiver stating he would not mount anything or drill any holes in aluminum.

 

The slats are for aerodynamics. Chevy has them too. You can cut them out but you'd lose a mpg or two.

You can drill aluminum easier than steel... probably just a paranoid or crazy dealer. Any excuse to void the warranty from some jokers.

 

While it won't rust the corrosion you'll get from aluminum will still destroy paint quickly like rust. If he's anywhere close to a place that salts it would be a bad idea to cut into aluminum leaving exposed metal
