Well, I'll start off with some info about my truck. It's an 07 access cab, 2wd 4banger. I was pretty stoked when I got it, not realizing how much a v6 would benefit me over this 4 banger. I've come to terms with it though, doing some research, and just kinda winging it with how I can deal with the smaller engine and no 4wd.

So, deal with it is exactly what I have done. I'm not saying everyone will enjoy this, but I did this "build" more to show others out there that you don't need a big truck to make it have heads turn. So I'll list what I've done and throw up some pictures of how it sits.

Fatbobs 3" level with Add a leaf in the rear and fatbobs shocks
    31x10.5x15 goodyear wranglers
Procomp series 51 gloss black (gloss black has more of an offset then flat black)
    1.5" wheel spacers
    tinted rear tail lights
    8000k HID slim ballast kit
    plasti dipped badges/Emblem
Cherry bomb ( Sounds god awful on a 4banger)

Now, what I have planned next is more for my pleasure.

    Tint all around
    Double din touch screen
    Custom grill
Light bar for the bottom part of the bumper grill
    TRD Exhaust??

Anyways, here are the pics, hope someone enjoys.

Mine is 5 spd. Same tire size and 4.88 gears let it actually run and a Detroit True Trac to let it bite in snow and mud. If your on stock gears your handicapping it horribly. Guys will tell you they do it every day but until you drive a properly geared truck you have no idea. With stock tiny tires and a 4.10 it actually feels great. Do the math if your running 3.31!!!

I added a LCE header and Magnaflow SS muffler,( I noted the part number in another thread but it's the longest standard oval in 2.5" they sell at Summit). The header was a nice addition that added a bit of pop.

It's very subdued, you can hear it but very smooth and not at all ricey.

If I could only have one modification, it would be the gears/locker. Enormous difference.

I'm not a fan of the extra wide track, but it looks good! Nice job!

I was thinking about re gearing but haven't got the slightest clue on what to put in it for a little more power with the bigger tires.

Ask to drive similar trucks with different ratios. When I'm stuck between two, like 4.56 and 4.88, I go with the lower one. (4.88). I've regeared several cars and trucks, it is the best improvement you can make on modern cars.

Are you automatic or manual tranny?

Automatic. To be completely honest, not really sure what the whole gear ratio thing does for vehicles.

I know on my sled dropping teeth you lose top end and gain more bottom end for a better holeshot pull. And vice versa.

Imagine starting in third gear in your truck now. That what your doing basically with stock rear ratio gears. Like starting to pedal a ten speed on top gear instead of low gear. Your working much harder from a stop.
