Alright, I want to buy either a hood with scoop or maybe just the hood scoop?? I saw a 3dcarbon hood scoop that seems pretty nice but I can only find one freaking picture of one and its on a red truck that isnt realistic enough for me heres a picture of one-http://www.ebay.com/itm/251273107133?item=251273107133&viewitem=&vxp=mtr Does anyone have this exact hood scoop that would like to post a pic?? Where do you think the best website to purchase a hood with scoop would be?? Where would be a good place to find paint to paint the hood scoop if I cannot find one already in my specific color??
Sorry for all the questions, I like to hear opinions on everything before buying. Thanks!

You'll hear a lot of negative opinions about the stick-on scoops. The stick-on scoops are considered more fake than the actually scooped hoods lol. Looks especially tackier.

The stick on looks tacky. You look at almost any vehicle with a hood scoop and the scoop is an integrated part of the hood, it was planned. That Ebay one makes it look like a major afterthought.

I love my non-functional hood scoop...

My advice is to look for a trade. I'm sure you could find someone with the same color and wants to trade, especially if Tacoma's are as common in your area as they are in mine.

I wouldn't do it if I were you. Like SilverBullet said, look for a trade, people on here are always looking to change something up on their trucks and you'd be surprised what you can find. That being said- its your truck! Do what makes you happy. We're all on here because we like to customize/modify or otherwise personalize our trucks to fit what we want. If a stick on hood scoop is what you really want, do it! But if you're just settling and are still going to want an oem scooped hood, save your money and wait for the right opportunity.

    Welcome aboard BTW.

I personally like the look of the on hood-scoop compared to the stick on

Your best bet would be looking for a trade. I'm pretty sure there is a hood swap thread already started.

Look up a place called Certifit . If you have one in your area , that is the place to go . I read somewhere about the glare off the scooped hood at certain times . I thought people were crazy until this last week when I was going home and almost went blind . I went to Cetifit and bought a non-scooped hood for a custom hood project . It only cost me $103.00 :D

The only thing on a Tacoma worse than a hood with scoop incorporated into it is a stick-on hood scoop.

There are much worse things on the tacoma than the scoop haha. Frame, rear leaf springs, the bed, just to name a few :D

Don't go with the stick on or however it mounts hood scoop.I love having the hood scoop on my 2012 TRD sport even though its for looks and no function.Trade up or look to purchase a factory oem one even though there's no function to it.It looks better.
