    It will work fine. I haven't fit it personally but have a set of treds and from what I have seen of the mounting kit, you wont have any issues.

    Yeah that is the mounting kit but you are right, it is sort of pricey. I will probably just go the diy route. Thanks for the ideas.

    right now I would tell him if he wants it this summer he should go with somebody else. I started working on one for the 3rd gen last year. Without a vehilce close by to constantly access the process has been slow and I haven't been 100% happy with the results so far.

    Thanks to a couple examples from other members, I got my TREDs and Plano case mounted to the rack today. I scored the Plano case for $38 from a local thrift store. It was new, with tag and keys, but missing the pluck foam. :cool:
