    2011 4x2, 4cyl, access cab, 5speed, 67k miles.

Compare to my father's 2006, exact same setup save his transmission, yet it rides like a cloud compared to mine.

Mine rides bumpy and rough as hell. All stock save 235s I put on it. I keep pressure between 33 and 35. I know it's a truck, solid rear axle, not a Cadillac, blah blah blah... but coming up on 70k miles and it still rattles my teeth sometimes on the road... What gives?

If you got a 4 x 4 you would just the opposite problem. It's way to soft and the slightest bit of weight makes the rear sag

My truck runs softer than my bmw 328. And I like it that way, cause I drive my truck like it's a truck. Steering is also much lighter.

Maybe if you actually read my entire post you'd understand I actually gave comparison to the EXACT same pickup that rides differently just a few years older. I know I didn't buy a Cadillac so cut that lazy response and give me a legitimate one I don't know :)

Everything else is the same... except the tires.

It is either the tires or you. I'm thinking the load E Tires. Load E has like what, 10 plys and guaranteed to ride like shit.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
Yeppp, My bet. Also, if the only difference is "a few years older" then it's also the fact the the suspension on the '06 is idk... OLDER, and probably more worn

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
Try swapping wheels/tires with your dad's truck. Also, check out the tire specs online somewhere. Heavier tires ride worse than lighter ones, and if you also have load range D tires, they might be stiffer and heavier.

I switched to LT from P rated tires about 500 miles ago. big difference in ride quality. Feels like a truck now. it's your tires.

Good idea, I'll try and swap out with him. I know his is older and more worn, but he's only got maybe 30k on me; he doesn't drive his as much.

30k is significant and the fact that those springs and coils have been holding the weight of the truck for quite a bit longer.

I guess I figured that 70k was enough to "break in" a suspension :/

Come to think of it, my dad hauls considerably more loads than I do (mulch, wood, etc). Probably has a lot to do with it too.
