Got under my truck to take off the sway bar expecting it to be a pain to get to. Is this bar in the very back that is not under the skid plate it? I know this sounds stupid, bit it sounds like it is the wrong this based off what I've read

It's probably easier if you start from the lower control arms and work your way under the truck following it... My factory mid skid was missing when I got mine, so not sure.

Just unhook one sway bar link and see if you like not having the sway bar first.

I plan on it, but all these people say you have to take it all the way off. From the looks of mine I can disconnect those arms, swing them up and they are out of the way. I will post a few pics in a minute. I am driving the pre-runner.

I removed mine two weeks prior to installing King coilovers thinking it wouldn't be a big deal and boy, let me tell you, it was very scary. The body roll on turns was almost too dangerous to drive. I actually stopped driving it until I was ready for the coilovers. After the coilovers, rode 100x better. Never replaced the sway bar and I don't miss it one bit. I'm drive about 75%/25% (road/dirt).

Edit: Disconnect and see for yourself before removing completely.

If I flipped it up out of the way on both side, I cant find anything it would hit.

I would just remove the tire rod on one side. Then see if you like it or not.

But... you could probably just flip it out of the way and it would vibrate down after a day or so...

So I disconnected it on one side then put the wheel back on. I knocked it out of socket and laid it down. It flexes harder.

It flexes more easily? harder doesn't make sense unless we're talking bro-language.

I have one sway bar link took off. With cheap kyb shocks it was scary to drive. With 5100s at 2.5" it was unbelivable how much more stabil the truck drives and still flexes way better up front. I plan on taking mine off alltogether now.

Your drivers side lean will be slightly more with sway bar off.

I literally just took mine off this morning after having my ome lift on for a month or so. It's 6 bolts total. No skid plate removal, no tire removal. I'd recommend taking it all the way off before you drive around. The ride is day and night difference and a million times better without
