Hi wise ones. Good call on the harness Carl - the mice need something new to chew. Susan, shall I get the popcorn ready for a story about dryer power cords?

I went to our local Ace Hardware - which has to be one of the greatest hardware stores on earth by the way - and picked up a 6-footer. Washer and dryer are all hooked up, leveled, and tested. The washer is not exactly quiet! We don't care because they're in a storage area and we don't have to listen to them. But if washer/dryer noise matters to you, you may want to think twice about going with Speed Queen. The washer did indeed wash however, and the dryer works really well compared to the old one. The test load came out fluffy and crisp, not over-dryed and not under-dryed. Overall I'm satisfied. Hopefully I'll still feel that way a few years from now!

Gave the wife an early birthday present.
We got rid of the pool because it way way to much work for me and it was not used enough. So this new thing says you need at least one other person to help.
Well, i don't ask because i know my free time is precious to me so i know how it is.
A little thought and it was done. About 6 hours. next time it will be a lot lass as it will come down in chunks.

 

so after this was done i said yea ill get the boat running.

so much for that....

 

Evening all:
The good news is; you can fix it yourself!
Looks better than my 100 Mariner when a rod came through the block.
I think that was caused by a failure of the oil injection pump.

 

It's about a 15 dollar gasket.
There is a cheaper aftermarket one but not the same shape and restrictions.
So if the local don't have one I'll order it online.

If this was a bigger or later year motor it would be a serious issue.
This is only a cooling jacket cover per say. I didn't see anything wrong with the block or cover so I think I'm ok. Will find out soon enough.
