You would be incorrect. Those are performance SUV's. Not trucks.
(BMW calls theirs an SAV = sports activity vehicle, and is more crossover than SUV)

Semantics. They drive like a truck, the weigh like a truck, they eat gas like a truck.

Very nice trucks, but still a truck... You really cant hide almost 3 tons of mass. You are always aware of it when you are driving them.

 

I've had a MINI for 10 years and it was a great car. Very few minor problems. Funny thing about it being a chick car is that I'm a construction worker. I can't count the amount of other workers as I'm changing in/out of my boots quietly asking if it was as fun to drive as it looked and that they really liked them.

 

Before the taco I had a 09 jcw mini to commute in and dodge cummins to haul stuff, I sold the dodge and traded the mini in on my taco. I really miss driving the mini sometimes that thing would take 20mph corners at 90+ mph and not even think twice, it was a blast to drive closest thing to a street legal gocart.

 

There are also cars that drive like a truck. Weigh like a truck. And eat gas like a truck. But, like other SUV's...they are not a truck.

And your BMW and Porsche examples are the furthest from truck.

I find my truck and min both fun to drive in their own ways.
